The Wine Cellar of the Month: Antinori

The Antinori wine cellar is the undiscussed protagonist of this month’s focus.

Because of its prestigious wines this wine cellar has gained a magnificent reputation around the world, so much so that some of its wine creations are considered collection wines. An example is the Solaia Marchesi Antinori of 1998, which unites the color and scent of blackberries and blueberries, and leaves a strong chocolate and vanilla aftertaste. It is a true gem in the wine sector, composed by 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese, and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The Antinori wine cellar offers many more refined wines. Among them is the Tignanello, one of the most valued wines in Tuscany due to its perfectly balanced aromas. It is a ruby-red wine with crimson reflections that completely envelopes your palate with a hint of sweet toasted durmast, while leaving a sweet scent of cherries and liquorish. Due to its rich and long aftertaste, it bodes well with a game meat menu, or with a meat-based first course.

Antinori does not only offer red wines. The Antinori white wines are also quite seductive and pleasant at the taste. This is the case, for example, of the Vermentino Toscana Antinori, which offers a bright color, a flowery and citrusy scent, and a delicate, yet persistent and strong taste.

Another wonderful wine to savor, perhaps at the end of a meal or as meditation wine, is the Muffato della Sala Castello della Sala Antinori, preferably served at a temperature that ranges between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius.
